FB: MALAYSIAN VENDING MACHINES RULE!

No more candy bars, chips, or cookies for me! In my wanderings around Penang, Malaysia I've been running across some very different items being offered for sale. I got excited when I found a HOT WHEELS vending machine. Where was this thing when I was ten years old riding my Mongoose BMX bike around town with no regard to road rules or helmets?!! Instead of dumping quarters at the arcade, I could of bought a killer set of cars (that I would never own in real life). Next I found the machine with snow globes, drinking mugs, phones, cameras and anime characters. Not sure who buys those but those snow globes would look pretty cool on my desk, and the anime guys could look over our bedroom (my wife informs me that's NOT happening). And my final discovery was a machine full of BEAUTY SUPPLIES! Seriously, who doesn't need some creams or lotions at any hour of the day? I'm not saying I do, but the next time my face is feeling extra dry at 3am, I'll know where to find some Vital Hydra Solution. Gotta keep the skin nice and soft...

FB: FOUND: Rare VENOMOUS Malaysian (Penang) CALICO STUB TAIL DWARF PANTHER!

I was over the moon excited last week to run across this amazing feline during one of my wandering mornings. I was careful to keep my distance (knowing my running speed leaves something to be desired), I didn't want to scare it off or give it a reason to attack me. The 'venom' is a toxin released by sharp 'dew/spur' claws on the back of it's legs. Very similar to the toxin of the Australian Platypus (it's very painful to humans and rarely fatal). So if you lift one up you have to be cautious of these sharp points. It feeds mainly on small mammals found in the jungles of Malaysia but will occasionally hunt small monkeys and small Monitor lizards if given the chance. I was able to get fantastic clear pics of this creature as it curiously circled me (I'm pretty sure it had never seen a one legged, long haired, Portuguese speaking Hawaiian before). I felt privileged to experience this moment. Okay FINE. It's a freaking cat.
